This week i found a model i thought was appropriate for my game G2: Cyborg Characters by Quang Phan. I had also used his skeletal meshes for the sword, creating my own character using the pieces he provided and then binding the weapon equip and unequip to the targeting system. This would mean that if the player locked onto the enemy, the sword would Auto-equip while if the player leaves the range of the TargetSystem, it auto unequips the weapon.
